Which church? (priceless student dialogue)
(As I'm packing up my stuff and leaving the classroom, the next class, taught by a different teacher, starts coming in. Two ninth-grade girls enter together and exchange the following dialogue:)
Girl #1: Can you quick help me with some questions before the test?
Girl #2: Sure.
Girl #1: OK... um, first, what are the two churches again?
Girl #2: The Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church.
Girl #1: OK, and... which one was right?
Girl #2: [*pause*] Uh... um... which one was... right?? I don't... get what you mean... I mean, it depends on...
Girl #1: You know [*waves her hand at an imaginary map*]... Which one was the one on the right?
